Tauranga’s leading commercial construction company, CBC Construction, is pleased to announce its expansion into Auckland with a new office opening in Parnell this week.
Drew Beekie, CBC Construction managing director, says creating a presence in Auckland was the next logical step for his company.
“Our team has consistently delivered to a standard of excellence across every project and earned an enviable reputation over almost 10 years in the Bay of Plenty. As we have grown, we’ve naturally forged strong connections with professionals and industry-related companies in Auckland and the surrounds, to the point where we recognised the need to be on-the-ground,” says Mr Beekie.
The award-winning construction company can certainly hold its own, having built Tauranga’s trophy building - the 9,000m2 ANZ Business Centre - as well the current construction of unique offices for the Bay’s leading energy provider, Trustpower, to house its 450 staff.
While Mr Beekie says he will split his time working between Tauranga and Auckland, he has appointed a highly-skilled general manager, Tony Emery, to oversee and grow the Auckland office.
“We are thrilled to have Tony on board. He brings a wealth of construction experience and high-level project management skills with almost 20 years working in the building industry.
“While CBC Tauranga is a multi-million dollar operation with significant projects built within the commercial, industrial, apartment, interior fitting out, education and retirement industries, CBC Auckland will focus on mid-size projects, up to $25M at this stage, including seismic upgrades and structural strengthening.
“The main focus for Tony is to build a medium-size construction company that differentiates itself from all others by delivering outstanding value projects relative to other market offerings, while also being good to deal with on a daily basis,” says Mr Beekie.
New general manager Tony Emery is now seeking to attract and retain good staff who will help him continue to build on CBC Construction’s strong name.
“My primary goal is to build an outstanding reputations for CBC Construction in Auckland, starting immediately. To help me do this I need talented, experienced people who strive for excellence and understand how valuable our clients are. Developing this new office is part of a long-term strategy for the future and our approach to clients and projects will reflect this.
“We will be looking to develop relationships with new clients in the region as well as maintaining and growing our existing client base. We are fortunate to have in-house design capability to draw on within the group that allows us to offer both traditional build solutions as well as design and build solutions plus land and build packages through our development division – Classic Developments. The combination of the above value propositions puts CBC in a place where we can differentiate ourselves from the regular building contractor,” he says.
As a multiple award-winning company recognised for its innovation, skilled project management teams, excellent-designs and superior quality buildings, this company is one to watch out for. The new office is located at Suite 2.11, 1 Cleveland Road, Parnell, Auckland.
