CBC are due to complete the construction of Cubro’s head office building at the end of January 2016. This will be an exciting start to the New Year for this healthcare equipment solutions company, having now reached a new milestone of 30 years in business.

In the past, Cubro have had two Tauranga head offices (in 1997 and 2005), but now with the expansion of products and services, as well as staff numbers and their success in the international markets, the need for a larger premise has risen. The CBC team have taken on the challenge in creating a space that will be custom-built to accommodate Cubro’s expansion and servicing needs.

A whopping 15,000 concrete blocks, a total of $1.1 million worth of structural steelwork and 1,800m³ of insitu concrete has been used to create Cubro’s new warehouse, workshop and office area, which is currently under construction by the CBC team. The end result will be a massive 5,000m² warehouse, 600m² workshop, 1,800m² of open plan office space, as well as a large distribution canopy to the side of the warehouse.

Other features of the build include the extensive use of pigmented zinc wall cladding combined with glazed curtain-walling. Corten steel clad cantilevered decks with bright yellow feature glazing will provide the building frontage with a striking, modern, contemporary look that will be sure to stand out within the Tauriko Business Estate.
